For about 2 years now I've been running some ideas through my head about a crime story I've been wanting to write. I was partly inspired to do this from old-school detective books and movies (especially Tarantino flicks). Dashiell Hammett's The Maltese Falcon and Raymond Chandler's Red Harvest to me were the basis of creating a hardboiled detective. From there it's become a matter of adding on my own taste to the story. The story later incorporates a masked vigilante element (this was inspired by the graphic novel Incognito, by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips). As I make posts of chapters, I hope to get some feedback and such.
